Queen Anne Coffee Table and End Tables

picked up a pair of these tables and the matching coffee table at a great price

I again used General Finishes Milk Paint in Linen.

This my Morkie, Tisha, who is always by my side. 😊. Too cute she is!

I lightly distressed them and added that great French script to the end tables.

I also highlighted some areas with gold gilding wax. I just love this stuff!

I did a final deal of 4 coats with General Finishes High Performance Top Coat in Flat.

Queen Anne End Tables

I just love taking these traditional style tables and turning them into something fab!!
The Before!

I did a light sand before painting them with General Finishes Lamp Black Milk paint. I can't say enough about their paint. It truly goes on like butter and has such a smooth finish.

I painted over the original hardware and lightly distressed.

I then sealed them with General Finishes High Performance Top Coat.

A completely fresh, new look!  ðŸ˜„

Accent Chair

This was my first time attempting a chair. I will admit I was a little nervous as I never reupholstered a chair before. I didn't thinking was something in my realm. Boy was I wrong!

I painted them in Annie Sloan Paris Grey, accented the beautiful carving details in silver gilding wax and sealed with AS wax.

Recovered the seats with a pretty teal chevron fabric (picked by my client).

Adding the fabric was super easy!  Just measure, fold like a present and staple to the back. Vola!

Don't be afraid to step outside your comfort zone. I found some great videos on YouTube to help with reupholstering. Go for it!!

Antique Ladies Writing Desk

When I bought this piece, I knew she had great potential to be beautiful!

I decided to paint her in Annie Sloan Old White and distress just enough.

I then used Annie Sloan Duck Egg Blue on the inside and also added some stencils. Sealed in Annie Sloan clear wax.

Here she is in her new home. I love it when clients share with me!

Queen Anne Style Console/Serving Table

seem to be the "queen" of these tables, as I constantly find them. They are such a great vintage style, but they look a little dated.

I decided to paint this piece in General Finishes Linen. This paint just glided on like butter!

I always clean my piece with TSP.

And sometimes, just sometimes I sand my piece. Only if it has a shine like this.

I use 100 grit wipe off and get to painting. That's the beauty of milk or chalk paint. The only prep you need to do is clean it.

This is the first coat. I ended up doing three.

I decided to apply a French script stencil on the top.

I then sealed with GF top coat.

Accented the hardware with gold gilding wax.

Love this piece!

Dresser Turned Entertainment/TV Console

Before...a boring brown dresser.
After, Taa daa!  A beautiful new piece!  I just love how paint can bring new life to something old.
This was the first time I did one of these and she came out beautiful and surprisingly not as difficult as I thought! I removed three drawers, measured the space, went to Home Depot and asked them to cut me a piece of wood in that length, paint and slide  it into the piece.

I Painted her in Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Old White, oil rubbed bronzed hardware and sealed with wax, as well as GF Top Coat

She looks pretty in my client's first home!  I also painted the coffee table to match in Old White.

French Provincial End Tables

French Provincial is one of my favorite if not my favorite style. These end tables were painted in Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Old White, lightly distressed and accented with emperors gold gilding wax.

I love it when my clients share a picture of my piece in their home. So lovely!

Mid Century Kent Coffey End Tables

I love these end tables!  Painted in General Finishes Lamp Black and sealed with wax
