Queen Anne Style Console/Serving Table

seem to be the "queen" of these tables, as I constantly find them. They are such a great vintage style, but they look a little dated. 

I decided to paint this piece in General Finishes Linen. This paint just glided on like butter!  

I always clean my piece with TSP. 


And sometimes, just sometimes I sand my piece. Only if it has a shine like this. 


I use 100 grit wipe off and get to painting. That's the beauty of milk or chalk paint. The only prep you need to do is clean it. 


This is the first coat. I ended up doing three. 

I decided to apply a French script stencil on the top. 


I then sealed with GF top coat. 

 
Accented the hardware with gold gilding wax.
